Taiki is very smart just like Ami Mizuno, in 177 they tie for the pratice exam. Taiki also reveals in the episode that she doesn't think romance or dreams have to do with academics. When Taiki and Ami are invited to their sensi (or teacher in English) home Ami says she'll come but Taiki turns it down. That night, the same teacher is on a tv shows saying to a child that after people die they become stars, Taiki says that isn't true. Ami goes to the sensi's house as she promised, Taiki tells her she'll go but ONLY if it stops raining. When Ami's sensi is turned into a phage, Taiki transforms into Sailor Star Maker. Ami begs Maker not to kill her favorite teacher who taught them about romance and dreams and that it gives them the energy to work Maker asks if dreams and romance are that important. After the battle, Taiki admits after looking through a telescope that she'll cherise the dreams and romance she has but not as much as Ami will.
In 185, Taiki also visits Misa a young girl with a diease (not mentioned) that she goes to visit in the hospital. She admits here she is very picky about drawings and in that one episode Seiya is violent saying how can Taiki choose not to sing for their princess? She excuses herself for the day and leaves the room cutting Seiya off in mid-sentence. Visting Misa again to discover she's gotten worse by being told this information by Usagi, Misa admits that she can't finish the picture she was going to show Taiki. This is where Kakyuu (their princess appears in a picture). Misa tells Taiki she always saw a woman in her head while listening to one of their songs. She admits though she is scared she will die, Taiki encourages her then goes back stating "I have my own mission to complete." And sings on stage for Misa that one night. Misa's surgery turns out to be a sucess Usagi says "Misa-chan gave it everything she had because of your encourge ment. She can recover now." Taiki replies, "no, it's her who encouraged me now I can recover." In this episode, we see Taiki does care strongly in certain parts of her heart but is still cynical.
When the lights first get to Earth they can't really relate to humans, Taiki doesn't understand love/dreams...or humans for that matter. At the end of the season, Taiki learns to value the people around you and relationships. In the start people can see Taiki is a little confused feeling wise in my opinion like in 179 when Taiki and Makoto go on a cooking show and the chef is changed into a phage. Taiki goes off and transforms and attacks as the Maker but before she protects Sailor Moon. Taiki doesn't get it, but at this point it is clear Taiki is starting to understand the value of relationships.
In 189, Taiki starts acting along with Yaten to keep Seiya away from Usagi. Taiki says in 190 after Seiya showing her the vision of Kinmoku and how it was destoried, Haruka says to the three "Anyway, we'll protect Earth we don't need your help." and Taiki replies "Please do so. We'll be better off that way." Wanting nothing to do with Usagi.
In 191, Ami goes to a gaming convention with everyone but Usagi to talk to Taiki. After winning in a game against a character from the Sailor V manga (he's in number 1 named the best gamer ever) and Ami wins. She then goes to take a congratulations plack from Taiki but Ami wants to talk to the Starlight. Once in a private room they talk about Usagi, Ami says "Bad things don't happen because of Usagi! She shares her love equally!" Taiki replies "That might be true for you, but not for us. For example, Seiya is hurt." Am wins the fight by saying "I don't think that's your honest opinion." A phage shows up and attacks and Taiki watches Mercury get hurt and walks away thinking "This is best, what happens on this planet is non of our buisness." Seiya however gets pissed that Taiki left her and runs off, Taiki remembers some of Ami's other words "I'm certain you'd do the same if it was someone you cared about." And she does, the inners fight and Sailor Moon shows up. At the end of the episode, Taiki says "But I still don't except you all." Ami replies "Alright, but I believe one day we can understand each other."
In 196-200 it seems as if Ami's statement was true...they finally understood each other and the Starlights accepted Sailor Moon teling her in 198 they believed in her and were friends. Fighter says she's mysterious and tells the older girl she believes in her, Maker is the same along with Healer. They become friends and all the inners completly understand each other at the end. I think the outers a little as well, due to the fact Uranus said to Fighter "From now on, you want to protect her." To Fighter and what Fighter was truly NOT trying to protect...like space, the future and peace.
In the end, I think Maker left understanding the people of Earth and they promised to go back one day.
